camping available at the flying field beginning Friday after 5pm Rustic (no hook-ups). We will have a campfire Friday and Saturday evenings, weather permitting.
Bragging rights challenge will be held if five or more pilots sign up for the particular challenge, such as Limbo, Zaggi combat, pylon race and night flying. For helicopters there will be the option of a helicopter drag race and slalom run; for gliders, a glider tow-plane will be available. RVF has two 350 x 150 ft runways so open flying should be able to continue during competitions. Sunday afternoon the field will be open to all types of aircraft at 3:pm on Sunday or as soon as it is convenient for the regestered pilots.
Cost: Pilots fee $15.00 Covers Both Days
Place: Wisconsin Rapids Wisconsin at the River Valley Flyers flying field.
In-between Hwy F & 130th street on Hwy W. in-between the cites of Wisconsin Rapids and Bancroft Wi.

How to get there!

We are located 120 miles north of Madison WI, 70 miles south of Wausau WI, 120 miles east of Eau Claire WI and 95 miles west of Green Bay WI.
From (highway I-39-U.S. 51 North) five miles south of Plover Wisconsin (Plover is on the south side of Stevens Point Wisconsin take exit 143 West at the town of Bancroft Wisconsin. travel seven miles west towards Wisconsin Rapids. The club flying field is on the north (right) side of the road between 130th Street and County trunk F. you should be able to see our flying field from the road. We will also have RVF signs near the entrance to the flying field.
Li-Poly & Li -Ion Battery's Warnings
#1; We strongly recommend that All type of battery's be charged out and away from your vehicle and any flammable materials.
#2; Please do not leave these type of battery's unattended while charging.
#3; Please do not charge these battery's inside you aircraft.
#4; If you crash an aircraft with these battery's or short out the cells, isolate the battery away from people and the aircraft on an non- flammable surface and monitor the battery pack for at least 30 minuets to determine if they are safe.
#5; We strongly recommend that these type of battery's be charged in a Pyrex glass (Li-Poly only) container, or a portable fire safe (Li-Poly & Li-Ion).
#6; Please have your own fire extinguisher ready to use.
